🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1956, a photography student in Bostonia, California, captured an image that appeared to show a disc-like object over a tree. The photo was obtained through a 10-20 minute nighttime exposure as part of a school project. Upon developing the film, an object appeared that wasn't there at the start. Later investigations revealed the image was a hoax, likely created by the student or someone else. Analysis showed the camera was moved during exposure, and a ceiling light fixture was superimposed. Despite conclusions, the photo sparked controversy and doubts about the authenticity of the phenomenon.
The story didn't end there. In 1960, a citizen wrote a letter to the Aerospace Technical Intelligence Center questioning the methodology of UFO investigations. In his letter, he highlighted a similar 1957 case where an honest family presented a photo the military couldn't explain. Although no physical evidence of the object was found, the photo remains a mystery. This story reflects the complexity of UFO cases, where the inexplicable and the human intertwine.
