🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1956, a civilian in Dayton, Ohio, reported a bright object in the sky that remained visible for 20 minutes. The object, described as the size of a nickel and with a reddish glow, stayed stationary in the southern sky. Although the witness observed it carefully, they could not identify it with certainty. The Air Force considered the possibility that it was Mars, but also left open the option of other astronomical phenomena.
The technical report includes details such as the exact time of the sighting, the precise location, and an evaluation of the weather conditions. Despite no photos being taken, the witness clearly described the object's appearance and behavior. The document also mentions that his wife and brother saw it with him, adding credibility to the testimony. Finally, investigators concluded there was not enough information to determine the object's nature with certainty.
