🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1956, a witness in Jackson, Mississippi, observed between 4 and 6 bright bead-shaped objects, the size of a pea and silver in color. These appeared aligned in a straight line, not maneuvering and maintaining the same relative position to each other. The witness, who saw the objects while driving, described them traveling northeast and gradually fading out, turning gray. The sighting lasted between 10 and 15 seconds. Although the possibility of aircraft was considered, the lack of precise data and the brief duration of the event led to the case being classified as insufficient for evaluation.
The reports from the time include details such as the witness's exact location, observation angles, and weather conditions. Despite recorded wind and cloud conditions at various altitudes, there was no local air traffic or radar data confirming the identity of the objects. The official report, part of Project 10073, concluded there was not enough information to determine if they were balloons, aircraft, or astronomical phenomena.
