1956 UFO Sighting in Panama City, Florida

Summary

In October 1956, a witness in Panama City, Florida reported several unidentified flying objects. They observed four red-orange cigar-shaped objects, the size of a pea at arm's length. These objects were initially stacked vertically and moved back and forth. Three of them converged and formed a diamond shape before disappearing behind another object. The witness observed this for thirty seconds. Later, they saw a white object the size of five cent pieces, which appeared as a flash and moved in an arc before disappearing over the horizon. The observation lasted between 10 and 15 seconds.

The description, flight path, and manner of disappearance led investigators to conclude that this was a meteor. Despite no additional reports in the files, the available data indicated an astronomical explanation for the phenomenon.
