🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1956, a witness in Green Bay, Wisconsin, observed a round greenish-white object roughly half the size of a full moon. The object had slightly fuzzy edges and made no sound, ruling out the possibility of a meteor. It moved southwest while descending gently before disappearing after about five seconds. Although other options like balloons or aircraft were considered, investigators concluded it was an astronomical phenomenon.
The report, classified under Project 10073, describes a brief but clear sighting by a civilian, a news director in the area. No photos or radar were used, limiting the possibility of physical analysis of the phenomenon. Despite the lack of additional data, the object's description and behavior suggested a natural explanation, though not confirmed. This case is an example of how UFO reports are often resolved with conventional explanations, though they leave open questions.
