🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1956, a witness in Delano, California observed four black objects shaped like aircraft for one to two minutes. These left a trail and flew in a straight line, described as the size of a basketball at arm's length. Although initially unusual, the description, duration, and flight path convinced investigators that it was caused by conventional aircraft. No photos were taken and no additional reports were filed, but the civilian testimony was considered sufficient for a clear evaluation.
This case is interesting because it shows how a UFO sighting can be resolved with a conventional explanation. The key was the detailed description from the witness, which allowed analysts to rule out other possibilities such as balloons or astronomical phenomena. Despite the unusual appearance of the objects, the report concluded with certainty that they were planes, highlighting the importance of precise data in the investigation of aerial phenomena.
