🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1956, a UFO sighting drew attention in Kadoka, South Dakota. A round object, colored red, blue, green, and white, was observed with a size similar to a baseball at arm's length. The witness observed it for one and a half hours, first at 35 degrees elevation, and it disappeared at 60 degrees. The object rose and moved away from a 100-degree azimuth. It was seen with the naked eye and through high-powered binoculars (8x40), which increased its brightness. The report mentions that the object faded from view after being observed for such a long time.
In addition to this main observation, there were other reports nearby in time and region. An oval-shaped object, colored red to green, the size of a melon, was also seen at a similar distance. There is also mention that a radar detected a "blip" at the same time the UFO was observed. These events, though unconfirmed, generated interest and were reported by local media. The lack of photographs and the inability to replicate the observation led to the conclusion that the data was insufficient for a definitive evaluation.
