🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A civilian observer in Clear Lake, South Dakota, spotted a red to green egg-shaped object the size of a grapefruit at arm's length. The object appeared on November 27, 1956, at 06:55 UTC and was observed for one and a half hours. It moved quickly without a defined pattern and was visible both with the naked eye and through binoculars. Despite the long observation time, the object could not be definitively identified. Investigators considered several possibilities, such as a balloon, aircraft, or astronomical phenomenon, but there was insufficient data for a conclusive evaluation. A form was sent to gather more information, but no follow-up results are mentioned.
