🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1956, a U.S. Air Force pilot reported observing an unidentified flying object while performing an intercept mission near Guam. The pilot described a round object with a white glow that moved unpredictably, even performing maneuvers that exceeded the capabilities of his aircraft. Although initially thought to be a B-47, the pilot was unable to close the distance enough to identify the object with certainty.
The classified report includes details about the location, duration of the sighting, and weather conditions. The pilot, considered a reliable source, described how the object not only moved at high speed but also performed tight turns that were incompatible with any known aircraft in the area. Although balloon or astronomical explanations were considered, the report concluded there was insufficient evidence to rule out the presence of an unknown object.
