🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In January 1957, two U.S. Air Force pilots reported an unidentified object near Fort Worth, Texas. The incident occurred during the night of the 16th to the 17th, when the pilots observed a round object that alternated between bright and dim, and appeared to emit sparks. The object moved erratically at high speed, drawing attention due to its unpredictable behavior. Despite dispatching a B-25 to investigate, no results were found after four hours of searching. The lack of precise data prevented a conclusive evaluation of the phenomenon, and the report was classified as insufficient for analysis.
The case was recorded under Project 10073, an Air Force program dedicated to investigating UFO sightings. Although the pilots were reliable observers, no photos or additional data were taken to help identify the object. Official conclusions could not determine whether it was a balloon, an aircraft, an astronomical phenomenon, or something else. Cases like this, with incomplete data, are common in UFO files and reflect the difficulty of obtaining clear answers about unexplained aerial phenomena.
