Summary

A ground observer spotted a ball-shaped object with an intense black-white glow and a fiery red trail moving northwest. The object followed a descending arc from about 70 to 20 degrees, visible for only 3-4 seconds before exploding mid-air. Although no photos were taken, experts concluded it was likely a bolide, a type of fireball caused by a meteoroid entering the atmosphere. The witness's description and astronomical analysis both point to a natural astronomical event rather than an aircraft, balloon, or unidentified object.
