🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1957, an Air Force officer reported an aerial phenomenon in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The report, part of Project 10073, describes an observation that could not be definitively identified. Several possibilities were considered, such as balloons, aircraft, or astronomical events, but none provided a complete explanation. Ultimately, it was concluded that the phenomenon might have been caused by anomalous propagation due to a temperature inversion. This case reflects the complexity of UFO reports from that era, where technology and atmospheric understanding were still developing.
