🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1957, a witness reported an unidentified object over Brooklyn, New York. The report mentions that the object, described as a "flying saucer," appeared over the city and headed toward Idlewild Airport, circled the area, and then moved south. Although the report was passed through the Army and USAF, the object's nature could not be confirmed. The sighting location, near one of the world's busiest airports, raised some surprise, as no other witnesses reported seeing the object.
Investigators concluded that there was not enough data to determine the object's nature with certainty. Several possibilities were considered, from weather balloons to astronomical phenomena, but no explanation was established as definitive. The case remains an example of an unresolved sighting, where the lack of clear evidence and absence of other witnesses made any conclusive analysis difficult.
