Red UFO seen over New Hampshire in 1957

Summary

In March 1957, around 50 people in Center Sandwich, New Hampshire observed a pink to red round object hovering in the sky for over 40 minutes. The object, larger than a B-47, showed no noise or exhaust and disappeared by rising and fading away. Although several witnesses used binoculars and a surveyor’s transit, no one could identify it with certainty. One observer suggested it might be a weather balloon, and although photos were taken, the film came out completely blank. The investigation concluded it was likely a balloon, but the mystery remains.
