🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1957, the control tower at Los Angeles International Airport recorded an unusual radar signal. Two objects appeared 10 miles northwest, rectangular in shape and similar in size to a conventional aircraft. The signal traveled at around 3600 mph, abruptly stopped at 40 miles, returned toward the tower, and then disappeared. Officials concluded it was a radar malfunction due to a loss of high voltage. There were no visual sightings or confirmation of aircraft in the area.
