🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A round, bright red object was sighted over Pasadena, California, on March 23, 1957. Witnesses described it as grapefruit-sized with white flashes shooting out. It was estimated to be at 4,000 to 5,000 feet and moving westward. Despite multiple observers, including military personnel, watching for 14 minutes, no photographs or radar confirmed its identity.
The official conclusion suggested it was an exhaust glow from a passing aircraft, though no such activity was recorded. The mysterious object vanished to the west without a trace. This case is part of a series of sightings in the area, including another reported at Oxnard AFB, suggesting possible concentrated UFO activity in the region.
