🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1957, a witness in Manitou Springs, Colorado, observed an object the size of a pinhead for thirty minutes. The object was moving slowly southward and remained visible when the report was filed. Although it might initially seem like an unusual aerial phenomenon, weather data and the context of the case point to a simpler explanation. A balloon had been released in Grand Junction, Colorado, hours earlier, and prevailing winds indicated that the object seen was indeed that balloon. The investigation concluded there was no evidence of an unidentified object, but rather a common phenomenon explained by weather conditions and the balloon release.
