Summary

In April 1957, an officer at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia observed a triangular or square-shaped object in the sky. The object, with blurred edges, appeared about one-tenth the size of half the moon and was twice as bright. Although initially stationary, it slowly ascended and drifted eastward. Its color changed rapidly, from bright to orange, and it eventually disappeared. The observer heard no sound and saw no exhaust trail, increasing the mystery of the event.

The official conclusion suggested the possibility of a radar reflector attached to a balloon, a common practice at the time for training and detection. However, the report noted no physical evidence was found and the object's characteristics, such as changing size and color, did not match conventional objects. Despite detailed observations, the case remained unexplained, adding an air of mystery to this 1957 record.
