🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1957, an observer near Denver, Colorado, spotted a disc-shaped object the size of a hockey puck with a reddish glow. The object had a conical tail with blue flame and disappeared behind the mountains. The sighting lasted only 4 seconds and was reported by a technical motion picture writer from Orlando AFB, Florida. Although the report suggests it could be a meteor, the detailed description of the object and its behavior sparked some curiosity.
The report classifies the sighting as an "astronomical meteor," but does not rule out other possibilities. The observer saw the object with the naked eye, and the weather conditions were clear. Despite the brief nature of the sighting, the precise description of the object and its straight path contribute to the mystery surrounding this case.
