🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1957, a 16-year-old in Fargo, North Dakota, observed a round white object moving slowly across the sky. Described as the size of a star at arm's length, the object traveled for ten minutes along an irregular path from an azimuth of 030° to 315°, eventually disappearing at the horizon. Although there was no precise data on elevation or speed, the report suggested it might be an aircraft.
The witness used a 130-power telescope to observe the phenomenon, adding credibility to the account. However, no photographs or radar data were involved, and details like altitude or speed were not recorded. Despite this, investigators concluded that the description, duration, and trajectory of the object pointed more toward an aircraft than a balloon or astronomical event. The case was filed as probably explained, but remains an interesting UFO report from the era of official sightings.
