🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A shiny oval object the size of a football was observed for five minutes in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, on May 24, 1957. The witness, a civilian, saw it moving in a straight line westward. Despite the detailed description, investigators concluded it was probably an aircraft. Weather conditions were ideal for observation, with visibility of 15 miles, supporting the idea that the object was clearly seen. The duration of the sighting and the object's straight path caused some confusion, but no photographs were taken and no radar was used to confirm the object's identity.
