🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
On May 25, 1957, near Elkhorn, Wisconsin, a witness reported seeing three luminous objects for two minutes. Two were red coming from the south, and one white from the northwest. Initially thought to be an aircraft, the observer changed their mind when the white object separated from the others. Two other witnesses saw only the white object and believed it to be a flare. Although there were no photos or radar, the data suggested an unusual light phenomenon.
The lack of images and the brief duration of the sighting made a definitive evaluation difficult. However, witnesses agreed it was not a typical aircraft. The description of the objects as circular and luminous, along with the behavior of the white one, raised doubts about their origin. Although balloon, aircraft, and astronomical explanations were ruled out, it was concluded that it could be a flare or another unidentified phenomenon. This case remains an unsolved mystery.
