🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1957, a civilian in Worcester, Ohio reported observing two bright objects, one red and one white, that remained stationary in the sky for 20 minutes. The witness saw them with the naked eye and binoculars, indicating a bearing of 300 degrees, but did not provide further details such as elevation or name. Although initially thought to be stars, the data was insufficient for a conclusive evaluation. The lack of precise information and the inability to rule out other explanations led to the case being classified as insufficient for a definitive assessment.
The report was processed by Project 10073, which collected data on UFO sightings. The responsible officer, Major P. J. Connaire, noted that there was not enough information to determine the nature of the objects. This case reflects the difficulty the U.S. Air Force had in evaluating many sightings during the 1950s, where the lack of concrete data and the variability of testimonies made precise classification challenging.
