Summary

In May 1957, a civilian observer in Baltimore, Maryland, spotted a bright circular object orbiting very close to the ground. The object was seen for two minutes before suddenly disappearing upward. Due to its unusual flight path and the inability to contact the witness, investigators concluded there was insufficient data to evaluate the phenomenon. No photos were taken and radar was not used, further limiting analysis possibilities. Despite favorable weather conditions, the report failed to identify the object as a balloon, aircraft, or astronomical event.

Project 10073's database recorded the incident as inconclusive. The report included meteorological details and air traffic information, but offered no clear explanation. The object did not match known flight patterns, causing some concern among the officers handling the case. Although a weather balloon was considered, the data was not conclusive. This case remains one of the many unresolved mysteries in UFO sighting history.
