🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1957, a Trans World Airlines crew sighted an unidentified object during a flight near Iran. The sighting lasted 15 seconds and the object was described as a solid line with orange edges and a white center. Although a meteor was considered, insufficient data prevented a definitive evaluation. The report, under Project 10073, notes the object was moving in the opposite direction of the aircraft at a slightly higher altitude.
The crew could not estimate the object's size, and the responsible officer suggested further interrogation. However, the flight continued its route and the crew did not stop to investigate further. This case, like many others, highlights the difficulty of obtaining clear information on unexplained aerial phenomena, especially when observers are in motion with limited observation capacity.
