🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1957, a truck driver in Salt Lake City observed a bright, cigar-shaped object moving rapidly toward the southeast. The witness described the object as the size of a small airplane and with a metallic sheen. The sighting lasted less than 30 seconds and there was no noise or trail. Although initially considered the possibility of a balloon or astronomical phenomenon, officers concluded it was likely an aircraft. However, the lack of physical evidence or photographs left many questions unanswered.
The report was submitted by 1st Lt. Joseph T. Rogers, who noted the possibility that the object was a reflection from an aircraft passing at the time. Despite the limitations of the testimony, the case was officially recorded as part of Project 10073's efforts to document unidentified flying object sightings.
