In June 1957, a witness in Clinton, Tennessee, observed a teardrop or comet-shaped object emitting blue and orange jet-like lights. The object was four to five feet long and had a comet-like tail. It moved slowly toward the observers, hovered briefly, and then disappeared. The sighting lasted approximately four minutes. Despite the detailed description, investigators concluded it was likely an aircraft.
