🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
An object was observed near Oldsmar, Florida, on July 29, 1957, described as a pale yellow ball of fire the size of a basketball. The witness saw it for 10 minutes as it glided into the sea at an estimated altitude of 300 to 500 feet. Upon hitting the water, it exploded into multicolored lights, sparking curiosity and confusion. Authorities, including the CAA and the air base, found no evidence of a missing aircraft or rocket, and the phenomenon remained unidentified.
The description and behavior of the object did not fit conventional categories such as balloons, aircraft, or astronomical events. Although a small plane on fire was considered, there was no confirmation. The final report labeled it as "unidentified," leaving many questions about what was actually seen that day.
