🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1957, several witnesses in New York observed a formation of five or six flying objects moving eastward across the sky, maintaining a steady bright light for about fifty minutes. Despite the long observation period, no photos were taken and no conclusive radar data was recorded. The Air Force concluded it was likely an aircraft, though the specific type remained unidentified. Witnesses described the objects as resembling commercial planes but with unusual lights.
The official investigation could not definitively determine the cause of the phenomenon, and while radar detection was mentioned, there was no supporting evidence. The lack of additional testimonies and no records from the Empire State Building raised doubts about the official explanation. The case remains a mystery, with unanswered questions about the identity of the objects and the absence of confirmation from other observers in a densely populated city.
