🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1957, a civilian in Severna Park observed two bright lights maneuvering in the sky, described as resembling a skyrocket's shower but with an unusual intensity. Initially thought to be sunlight reflections from an aircraft, witnesses concluded they were brighter than typical. The official report attributed it to an aircraft reflecting sunlight, but the witnesses insisted there was no sound, smoke, or trail.
Observers included an engineer and a minister, both providing detailed accounts. The engineer, trained in aerodynamics, compared the brightness to high-energy fuel experiments. The minister, initially skeptical, also confirmed the anomaly. Despite no radar or other sightings in the area, witnesses agreed it was not a conventional phenomenon.
