🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1957, a witness in Hollywood observed a pink, delta-winged object smaller than a jet. The object was moving slowly and losing altitude before disappearing behind a mountain range. The sighting lasted one minute and was reported by a civilian. Officials considered the possibility of a drone or small aircraft, but no photos or radar data were taken.
The classified Project 10073 report includes precise location and time details. Although several possibilities were evaluated, such as balloons or astronomical phenomena, the object was concluded to be an aircraft. However, its unusual appearance and bright color raised questions. This case exemplifies how unidentified aerial objects were documented during the Cold War, with a technical approach but no definitive resolution of their nature.
