Black bell-shaped UFO seen in Florida

Summary

In August 1957, a witness in Florida described a black, bell-shaped object with rotating vanes and bright white lights. The object, approximately 50 feet in diameter, moved at extremely high speeds and emitted a pulsating sound resembling a helicopter. The witness attempted to follow it in their car, but the vehicle stopped when the object hovered close. The car's battery was found completely discharged, adding to the mystery.

The official report noted the absence of a qualified investigator in the area, and the witness requested anonymity. Despite the mention of a helicopter being nearby, the object could not be identified. This case was considered similar to the descriptions of "flying saucers" by George Adamski.
