🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1957, a witness in Philadelphia reported seeing two very bright objects close together in the sky. The sighting occurred at night under clear weather conditions with excellent visibility. The observer only described the objects as being very bright and close to each other, providing no further details. Due to the lack of information, authorities could not determine their nature. There were no photographs or additional data to identify whether they were balloons, aircraft, or astronomical phenomena. The report concluded that there was insufficient data for a conclusive evaluation.
The case was handled by Project 10073, a U.S. Air Force initiative investigating unidentified flying objects. Although the exact coordinates and time of the sighting were recorded, there were no further clues leading to a clear explanation. Cases like this, with limited data, were common at the time and reflected the difficulty of visually assessing sky phenomena without advanced instruments.
