🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1957, several witnesses in Virginia Beach observed a round, silvery object that periodically lit up. The sighting occurred at 1:15 AM, and although no photos were taken, the report indicated a civilian was the source of the observation. The object had no clear course or identity, but investigators found a correlation with a balloon released in Norfolk 15 minutes before the sighting. This led to the conclusion that the object was likely a balloon, which would explain its appearance and behavior. Despite the lack of additional data, the case was closed without the need for further action.
