🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1957, in the West Germany zone, four independent witnesses reported seeing three similar unidentified flying objects. The objects were oval-shaped with conical tails and displayed colors ranging from red, blue, and violet. Each observer was hundreds of meters apart, yet all agreed on the shape, color, and trajectory of the objects. Two of them moved in straight lines, while the third followed an arched path. Although balloon or meteor explanations were considered, the unusual nature of the phenomenon and the absence of sound or noise prevented a definitive classification. The sighting lasted only two seconds, and no photographs were taken.
The information was collected by the USAFE and evaluated by an air intelligence officer, who concluded the phenomenon was not of known origin. The witnesses, who were fuel depot guards, were interviewed 16 days after the event and confirmed the details. Despite the consistency in descriptions, the lack of physical evidence or images prevented a more precise evaluation. The report was classified and distributed to several intelligence units, highlighting its significance at the time.
