🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A bright green ball-shaped object with a tail was observed in Oregon in 1957. It was seen at around 3000 feet altitude and described as a luminous sphere. The witness saw it while driving uphill in a direct line of sight. Initially thought to be a flare or meteor, it was not conclusively identified.
The report mentions light fog and the object appearing both above and below the clouds. No radar or airborne confirmation was recorded. The source was a civilian and the observation lasted only a few seconds. It was not identified as an aircraft or known astronomical phenomenon.
