🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A round object the size of a pinhead was observed over Overland, Missouri, in October 1957. The witness, a firefighter, described it as reddish orange turning white as it disappeared. The sighting lasted one minute with no sound. Initially considered a balloon or astronomical phenomenon, investigators concluded it was likely an aircraft at high altitude reflecting sunlight. This explanation was supported by the lack of noise and the object's behavior.
The report, part of Project 10073, includes weather data and wind routes that do not contradict the aircraft hypothesis. Despite numerous similar reports in the area, the analysis found no evidence of an unexplained phenomenon. The case was classified as likely an aircraft, closing the investigation without further study.
