🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1957, a circular and bright object was seen for over four hours in Connecticut. A witness described it as a globe with a disc around it, with a tail and no sound. Despite the long observation, no photos were taken and the data was considered insufficient.
The object was seen in New London and New Britain, moving slowly south. Witnesses used binoculars and observed it for 35 minutes and then over two hours. Although it was mentioned it could be comet Encke, the southern direction did not match expectations. The lack of precise information and the prolonged nature of the sighting raised doubts about its identity.
