UFO sighted in Brooklyn in 1957

Summary

In October 1957, a group of people in Brooklyn, New York, observed a series of objects that appeared like blinking stars. Between 8 and 9 bright white points were seen, varying in size from a pinprick to a nickel. The sighting lasted about 30 seconds and then another three minutes, with the objects moving in a fluctuating course. Although witnesses used binoculars and had a good vantage point, they could not clearly identify what they were seeing.

The official report concluded that there was insufficient data to evaluate the nature of the objects. Although possibilities such as balloons, aircraft, or astronomical phenomena were considered, none were confirmed. The testimony of an officer and an aviation technician added credibility to the description, but did not solve the mystery. This case adds to the list of unexplained UFO sightings from the 1950s.
