Summary

In October 1957, a farmer in Haviland, Kansas, observed three aerial objects for 30 minutes. The objects had a half-moon shape with a dome on top, moving in formation—one stacked above the other with the third trailing behind. They were white or reddish in color, silent and without exhaust. The witness used binoculars and noted that the objects did not maneuver, simply moving northward. Although a balloon was considered as a possibility, no definitive conclusion was reached. The lack of precise data and the unusual nature of the sighting left the report unevaluated.

The description of the object, with its distinctive shape and unusual behavior, drew attention from researchers of the time. Although details such as time, location, and duration were recorded, there were no photos or radar data to support the observation. The report, filed under Project 10073, was shared with several air units and intelligence centers, but no clear explanation was reached. This case is an example of how UFO sightings in the 1950s generated both interest and uncertainty, without resolving their true nature.
