Summary

In October 1957, a 16-year-old in Corpus Christi, Texas, reported seeing three round, luminous objects in a "V" formation. He described them as car-sized, yellow, and leaving a bright trail while moving in a straight line for a few seconds. Although the witness claimed there were no clouds or other elements to explain the sighting, no radar confirmation or additional testimony was found. The official report classified the event as a meteor, specifically a bolide, that disintegrated upon entering the atmosphere. The lack of radar data or physical evidence supports this interpretation.

The case was reviewed by military and technical personnel, who concluded there was no indication of supernatural or extraterrestrial activity. Despite the seriousness with which the report was recorded, no alternative explanation was found.
