🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A small round object the size of a tennis ball was observed on October 24, 1957, northeast of Phillips, Wisconsin. The witness, a 44-year-old housewife, described how the object changed color from red to white while moving in angular patterns. The sighting lasted about five minutes, but no photographs or additional data were available to identify the object. Due to the lack of information, investigators concluded there was insufficient data for a clear evaluation.
Authorities considered the possibility that it was a weather balloon with running lights, a common occurrence at the time, but could not confirm it. The testimony lacked details such as elevation, exact direction, or how the object disappeared, further complicating the analysis. Despite the brief sighting, the report was archived as part of Project 10073, a program collecting UFO sightings for study.
