🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1957, a teenager in Minot, North Dakota, observed a round white object moving at high speed. A faint hum was heard through an amplifier, causing confusion. The report suggests it could have been a balloon seen at high altitude. However, the link between the sound and the object is considered a misinterpretation.
The official report notes that the object faded with distance and no photos were taken. Although a Russian satellite was considered, it was not confirmed. The lack of precise data left the case unresolved, but a plausible explanation in the form of a balloon was proposed.
