In 1972, an intelligence report reveals conversations with members of a Soviet committee tasked with investigating unidentified flying objects. Although they officially deny the existence of flying saucers, their comments are contradictory and at times ironic. During a meeting, several participants joked and did not take the speaker's remarks seriously, suggesting a rather cynical attitude toward the topic.
The report also notes that the committee is mainly composed of politicians, theorists, and historians, with few or no scientists. This raises questions about the credibility of their conclusions. Despite official denials, the ambiguity and lack of scientific rigor within the group suggest that the UFO question remained a mystery even for Soviet experts.
