🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1957, an observer in the Atlantic reported a large pink illumination covering a quarter of the sky. The phenomenon disappeared and briefly reappeared, appearing similar to ionized gas. The sighting lasted 10 minutes and no photos were taken. Although other possibilities like balloons or aircraft were considered, it was ultimately concluded to be an astronomical aurora. The report, though brief, adds an interesting data point to the records of unidentified phenomena.
