🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1957, an observer in Haverhill, Massachusetts, spotted a spherical object the size of a baseball. The object was described as emitting green flashes and leaving three vapor trails, all without making any noise. It moved in circles and intermittently faded from view, creating uncertainty about its nature. Although balloon or astronomical explanations were considered, the data remained inconclusive. An officer suggested it could have been a B-47 aircraft in the area, but this was not confirmed.
The report includes weather details, the observer's location, and the tools used. The observer was a 25-year-old stock clerk. Despite a detailed description, the lack of photographs or recordings left many questions unanswered. The case was classified as insufficient for evaluation, but it remains a fascinating example of how unidentified objects were documented and analyzed at the time.
