🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1957, a witness in Lake City, Tennessee, described a red, round object the size of a melon moving up and down for 45 minutes. Despite the long duration, which could suggest an astronomical phenomenon, there were no positional data or photographs to confirm its nature. The lack of concrete information led to the conclusion that it could not be evaluated with certainty.
A few days later, another sighting was reported with two red objects slightly larger than a basketball, moving from north to south for 3 to 4 minutes. In this case, the data did suggest a possible explanation as an aircraft, although no detailed report was kept. Both cases reflect the difficulty researchers of the time had in classifying phenomena without clear evidence.
