Summary

A round object the size of a dime was observed two miles north of Seminole, New Mexico, in November 1957. A civilian witness described a red pulsating light moving very fast for 20 to 25 minutes. Although the initial report suggested it could be an astronomical object, no positional data or other details were included to allow for a precise evaluation. The lack of elevation, azimuth, and other technical parameters made analysis difficult.

Investigators concluded there was insufficient data to determine whether it was a balloon, aircraft, or astronomical phenomenon. It was noted that the pulsating red light could resemble a wingtip light on an aircraft, but this was not confirmed. The report concluded that the object disappeared suddenly without a trace. Although other aircraft were later seen in the same area, they were not linked to the incident. The case remains unresolved.
