In November 1957, a witness in Seneca, Missouri, observed six luminous objects in the sky. Five were the size of the planet Venus and one was twice as large. They were moving in a formation with one leading and the others in an inverted "U" shape. The witness, using high-powered binoculars, noted that the objects traveled in a straight line and at a high altitude, suggesting a possible aerial explanation.

The observation lasted five minutes, which is unusual for an unidentified object.
