🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1957, an observer in Arcadia, Missouri, spotted a very large, elongated object for 40 minutes. The object had no tail, trail, or sound, and glowed with a reddish white hue. Although initially considered to be Venus, the detailed description hints at something more unusual. The official report classifies it as possibly astronomical, but the object's features don't fully match a planet.
The report, part of Project 10073, was reviewed by multiple air intelligence offices. Despite a detailed binocular observation, there was no confirmation or interception of the object. The mystery remains, as no photos or additional data were recorded. This case is an example of how UFO reports from that era combined speculative data with real observations, without reaching a definitive conclusion.
